My family received an email yesterday that a granduncle in Singapore has passed away. My mom's family is rather large(reaching over a hundred Ho's) and they're sorta spread around the world. We even have to give code numbers to remember each other. Mine's 7.5.2 I think. 7th grandd elder(grand dad), 5th child(my mom), 2nd born(me).
Anywho, as sudden as it is, my family's going down to Singapore this weekend! I know, I'm supposed to be sad, but I guess I don't really know the deceised well enough to feel anything. Will be on my best behaviour though. The last time I've been to Singapore was 4 years ago, for a wedding(3rd Singapore wedding I've attended), so I'm quite sure I'll be getting the usual "Oh my, your son is very big now la!"
Since it's a little sudden, we couldn't really get a flight ticket. So my mom said we'd most probably be taking a bus there. Sigh...I don't like buses. Especially long rides. =( I havent sat in an aeroplane for 5 years now), and deeply miss the free flow of coca-cola. I don't fancy the idea of cramming along with people I don't know either. Public people tend to smell. Or maybe I'm just an anti socialite.
Will be leaving on Friday night, I suppose. Bah, and Khe Chun and Colin were planning to go play badminton at The Holiday Villa this Sunday too. =(
I'm just a little uncomfortable with Singapore during the night. Have read to many Singapore True Ghost Stories to last me a lifetime. Eek.
EDIT: Oh shit. I just realized it's only gonna be me, my mom and dad. Which means...in the bus I'll be sitting with a smelly public person. Eeeek!!!

-_-" September 22, 2005 08:44 PM PDT Hahaha! It better be those express buses. My cousin took a bus to S'pore once. It was a double-deckered bus and it was cool-ness! That's what she said... I'm not sure if they have beds though...
Anyway... I think a bed on the night train costs RM40 for the lower bunk and RM38 for the upper bunk per person. Woo! KTM rules!
luzzio September 22, 2005 06:00 PM PDT nab: I'm taking a bus there. And guess how much it costs per person? Rm70! That's like friggin expensive. It better have air-conditiong...
kenny: Ngehe. Where'd you go?
wolfbane September 22, 2005 04:06 PM PDT 5 years havent been on a plane.. hehe.. not as bad as me... i think the last time was...... erm... i think 12 years ago for me.. :p
-_-" September 21, 2005 10:51 PM PDT OMG!! You guys should take a train! It's way funner.. I don't even care if funner is a word or not.
Anyway... Eventhough the train's been around for like a 100 years, but it's still good fun. This is how I make my regular trips to S'pore.. well, not regular... but I go there a lot.
The night train's real cool and I mean the temperature too. Whee!! Hah! I'm going there again somewhere around the end of the year. Woot!
